Partners

Many individuals and organizations are instrumental in our ability to fulfill the vision of Salud del Sol. Below are some who play a vital role in our success.

The local community of Sabana Grande, Madriz, Nicaragua and Grupo Fenix, a renewable energy program at the National Engineering University in Managua, Nicaragua, are helping to provide product requirements and market analysis for the solar autoclave. The University of Dayton’s School of Engineering Design and Manufacturing Clinic is conducting further design and testing. Las Mujeres Solares (”The Solare Women”), a community group in Sabana Grande, will produce the autoclaves for small clinics throughout Nicaragua and, eventually, for surrounding countries. Salud del Sol will raise the funds needed through individual, corporate and non-governmental organization donations. As advisors to Las Mujeres Solares, Salud del Sol will also manage a website allowing donors to purchase autoclaves for rural Nicaraguan clinics.
