Renewable Energy
In 1931, not long before he died, Thomas Edison told his friends Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone: “I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that.”
The idea of the solar autoclave was built around the promotion of appropriate technologies in developing countries. Salud Del Sol is trying to incorporate this ideal with the solar autoclave, and the continued interest in renewable energy. Renewable energy such as solar, wind, and geothermal systems provide tremendous opportunity in the third world. The objective of this section is to provide a resource for collecting information about renewable energy, and it’s potential to drastically change the lives of millions of people around the world.
